Emergency Room visit on the birthday:(

Where do I begin???? To make a long story short.....we had our first emergency room visit on Preston's birthday of all days. He took a really hard fall, I mean really hard fall Friday night that concerned Josh and I. We kept him up late to be sure he was okay and seemed to be. The next morning he slept till 10:30 and woke up throwing up in his bed, bath, and downstairs. He fell back asleep around 11:15 sitting in Josh's lap on the couch. I wasn't home for any of this. As you know by this time of day on a Saturday the doctors office is closed. We called and they suggested to take him to the emergency room. Once we got there he actually ate and played a little. The doctors were on the fence about whether or not to give him a cat scan. Once they mentioned radiation and cancer we thought it would be best just to hold out and see how he did the next few days. Well, on the way home we stopped to grab a bite to eat and he threw up all over the place two times in a row. We basically went in the restaurant, sat down, he threw up, and we left. Oh well, you sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! For the rest of the weekend he was not himself at all. He wouldn't eat, slept TONS, and wanted to be held. He would say, "head hurt". It was so sad. I took him back to the Dr. Monday morning first thing. The doctors concluded that he had a severe concussion. Looking back I may have gone ahead and gotten the cat scan just to have some relief, but those few words ( radiation, cancer) scare me. Thankfully he is now back to normal and playing as usual. As a parent you just wish it could have been you.

Poor baby:(

Opening presents at Preston's Mickey Party!

Blowing out the candles with daddy!

You wouldn't think anything was wrong with him in this picture.

Preston and Maw Maw

I am so sad to know that we did a horrible job of taking pictures on Preston's birthday. I didn't even get a picture with the poor guy.

Fall Festivities

A big group of us had dinner a few weeks ago at Monelle's downtown. We actually got a picture with everyone expect Jennifer's parents:) The group keeps growing!
Tate, Ari, Preston, and Phin

All the kiddos on the couch at Monelle's listening to a lady sing and play the guitar. This is the best picture I had except Ari's has her little eyes closed:(

Preston after church on Sunday. I am trying to do better about taking his picture when he is all dressed up.

Ari's birthday party! Sloan and Ginny had the cutest set up for families to have their picture taken. Preston is Mickey Mouse this year for Halloween. This is about as long as he kept all the parts of the costume on his body.

Keeley's book shower! She is having twins and got lots of really great books for the boys!

Family

This is Preston pointing to Aunt Toni's cute little nose ring and saying, "boo boo, Togy." It is so funny because now every time he sees her that is what he says!
Aunt Toni got a new dog named Axel. He is a full bred bulldog:) As you can see P was super excited!

Playing hide and go seek with flashlights. They basically walked in a train all night. Hunter would go first, then Mack, then Preston. None of them would go anywhere without the other. It was hilarious to watch because the house was pitch black with their flashlights shining everywhere:0.

Pumpkins

Learning how to "cheese"

Checkout that bed head!

What a sweet picture:>

Wrong order of pictures, but you catch the drift! Preston picked out his first pumpkin of the year at Walden Farms. (we love that place)

New Pictures!

Josh is laughing at Preston saying "Percy, James, and Thomas." The way he says it is so funny:>
I put this shirt on the other day. Preston saw me and said "off." Once I took it off he said, " Preston" and pointed to his chest! His mind is really working these days! I love it!!!
Festival at my dad's church. Mack Mack was feeding the rabbit:)
Preston was so concerned about the sheep getting food.
Riding the horses!
Getting a pumpkin painted on his face. I have NEVER seen him sit this still. I think it helped for Mack to go first.
Can you tell they both loved the blow up thing?

The big boy hair cut. It was just time. He looks so different, but adorable!
In the toy box with our neighbor Anna.

Riding the train! I have seen more than one of these around lately. He loves it and says, "all aboard" every time he sees it.
Chilling with dad. He is eating a dumb dumb. He keeps his hand on the stick and never takes the sucker out of his mouth until he is completely done with it..............

Walking on the sand bar during our short trip to Fl.

I was trying to get a picture of the sunset:)
below: Happy Birthday Lauryn! We spent her special day with her at the Monkey's Tree House. It was very fun and we plan to go back:)
More......He still uses some of his signs when he is really trying to get a point across:)
